Board of Education

"I am running for the Hebron Board of Education and would really appreciate your vote!"

My husband and I decided to move to Hebron for a more connected community and school system for our daughters. Hebron delivered. The educators, administration, students, other parents, and community members have confirmed our notions that this was the town that we were meant to be in. It is important to me that I am contributing not only to the educational supports for my children but to all the children of our town. These are our future neighbors, business owners, and community advocates.

My life’s work has been committed to educational systems around CT and MA for 18+ years. Twelve of those years have included my work as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in CT. This certification ties me to very strong ethical guidelines, evidence-based practices, and strategies to improve the lives of all people, especially children. My work in this capacity has led me to understand the critical importance of good administration and educators to ensure success for all students. It has also taught me creative ways to deliver high quality resources while staying within the budgetary parameters. I hope to use my professional experience to support the Board in decision making that finds this balance.

A Board member’s job is to make effective decisions to best support our schools by using the community’s voice, not simply our own. It is important to consider all perspectives in order to make decisions that are evidence based and financially sound. I plan to listen to our community members and understand how to best support our schools.
