RHAM Board of Education

"I am hoping to bring some of my passion for the power of education to best support all of the students of our towns."

I have been a resident of Hebron for 20 years, have two children that have attended RHAM,: one that just graduated and the other who is a junior at RHAM.  I am also a business owner in the town and have been able to get to know many residents and work with a good number of high school students that have been employed at my business and have become like family.

It is not only my personal experience with the town and our school that drives my desire to run for the RHAM Board of Education but my belief that the foundation our children develop in middle and high school plays such an integral part of who they become as adults.

I have spent the majority of my work career focusing on making education equitable for all students. I have over 15 years’ experience working with students in high school as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and as a School Counselor, a Master’s Degree in Education from Springfield College and am a certified K-12 School Counselor.

The first part of my career was working with students with disabilities as they transitioned to work, college and vocational training. The second half has been working with students that withdrew from high school and are looking at an alternative method of obtaining their high school diploma. .

I am hoping to bring some of my passion for the power of education, my understanding that the educational experience is so individual to each student, and the desire to continue to learn from residents of the town and the staff at RHAM High School and Middle School what they believe is important to best support all of the students of our towns.
